Frequently Asked Questions Do I need to feel pain to benefit from Chiropractic care? Everyone can benefit from chiropractic, whether they are in pain or not. In the past Chiropractic has been utilized for relief of low back pain, headaches, neck and arm pain. Today a growing number of people, including athletes, consistently receive Chiropractic care. These people state that they benefit from consistent Chiropractic care in the following ways:
Your health is your decision. How long you choose to benefit from Chiropractic care is up to you. However, most people treat the care of their spine and nervous system like they would their teeth or automobiles; they schedule regular checkups or tune-ups to preserve the life in their bodies. They know that it is wiser to preserve good health than to have to rescue it. Should children be treated? Absolutely. Children are constantly receiving trauma to their spines. Trauma is the best gauge in determining spinal and nervous system interference and the need for Chiropractic care. The birthing process (including C-sections), and repetitive falls are reasons enough to have your child's spine and nervous system checked by a Chiropractor. "As the twig is bent so grows the tree." Is Chiropractic care expensive? No. In studies performed by State workmen's Compensation agencies, including Coors, Inc., it has been found that Chiropractic care was, in most cases, less expensive, that workers returned back to work sooner and had less likelihood of re-injury than those workers seeking traditional methods of recovery. Do Chiropractic adjustments (treatments) hurt? In most cases, Chiropractic adjustments (treatments) are very comfortable. What should I expect following a Chiropractic adjustment (treatment)? The majority of patients realize almost immediate results. Some people notice improvement in one or two days. A smaller percentage of people experience more symptoms for the first day or two following treatment. This type of reaction means that we have focused on the correct source of the problem; this is a good thing. Most patients experience a lessening of s ymptoms, improved energy, increased focus, decreased stress, muscle tension and an overall sense of well being. |
